Exotic Taste was founded by Amina Abrahams in 2006 in a one-bedroom flat creating her first product, her lemon atchar. 16 years later we boast a range of 14 products, 4 gluten free & vegan atchars, 4 gluten free & vegan cook-in-sauces and 4 savoury lines with much more to come. The business is currently run by herself and daughter, Faatimah Nordien who joined in 2018 as the Marketing Director. We strongly believe in WOWEN EMPOWERMENT as this business is 100% woman owned. We offer convenient LIFECHOICE MEAL SOLUTIONS to men, women & businesses which is cost effective and time saving, IGNITING YOUR TASTEBUDS and to create familiar homestyle cooking. In October 2020 the company moved to a 544sqm building in Beaconvale, Parow, Cape Town and is now an FSA certified facility currently undergoing an ISO2200. The factory proudly boasts two production rooms (one of them a dedicated gluten-free room) and a cold-chain facility for frozen / chilled products which includes a refrigerated two-ton truck to support the cold chain requirement for our own products as well as private label clients.
